I want to buy a 18K gold over Sterling Silver. Will this chain make my neck green?

d.harris03 asked:

I was online and I wanted to buy a name necklace. I saw the 10K chains but the one i really liked was 18k over sterling silver. Will this make my neck green, or should i just keep looking? I actually saw my second fav and it was 12k filled. Will that one make my neck green? Can someone help. this is my first time buying jewelry online.

If it is truly 18k gold then it will not make your neck green.

As long as its real gold it shoudnt make your neck green. Silver actually has a habit of rubbing off on your clothes and leaving black marks on your cloths if you don’t use a silver cleaning cloth often enough. I like the look of gold better right now anyway.

neither should make you neck turn green. Only if both are fake gold and silver. It’s a cheaper version to buying the ‘real deal’ but unless you got an allergy to either, you shouldn’t have a problem :-D

Yes probably it will if you keep wearing it in daily use. For occasional uses 18k should be okay.
